What is RSVP?

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides civic participation and volunteer service opportunities to persons 55 years and older in Athens and Limestone County, Alabama. RSVP allows senior volunteers to use their skills and time to make meaningful contributions to non-profit and public agencies in our communities. RSVP is part of a national network.

RSVP offers men and women exciting opportunities for personal development and satisfaction by providing volunteer programs that offer outlets for their energy and creativity while serving in their community.

RSVP Funding

RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the State of Alabama. Also, one-third of our operating funds comes from private foundations, area corporations, and individual donors throughout Athens and Limestone County.

Where Do RSVP Volunteers Serve?

RSVP volunteers serve in the areas of Healthy Futures, Education, Service to Veterans and Military Families, Disaster Services, Economic Stewardship, Capacity Building and Other areas supporting community needs.

RSVP Special Event Services

RSVP volunteers assist with one-time community events. RSVP volunteers provide a myriad of special services meeting community needs. RSVP constantly updates and provides current Volunteer Opportunities.
